The unique thermal qualities of wool, give evenly distributed lasting warmth.
Wool fibres trap millions of microscopic air pockets, giving a great thermal balance. They also absorb up to 30 % of its weight in moisture, without feeling damp. While other synthetic fibres used in bed clothing can only absorb 1-2 % of water before dampness is felt.
Absorbed moisture is transmitted through the wool fibre towards the outside, so that the bed clothes do not become saturated. Perspiration does not remain on the skin but evaporates controlling and regulating body temperature.
Wool blankets and wraps keep their good appearance through years of wear and tear and regular washing/dry cleaning. These are difficult to tear, because wool fibres do not break easily when bent backwards and forwards.
